In these Summer swept plains of Yorkshire we like nowt more than a 2CD anthology of amongst other things - drifting psych folk, meditative flamenco & wistfully tormented organ led minimal gear. Dusty Tales has all that from a right selection of top fringe folks too numerous to mention. King of brooding quirk-pop Viking Moses is on here but really, the spiritually diverse choice of vibrant, buzzing sounds on here is quite adequate on it's own! There's a real sense of DIY experimentalism all over the shop, skewed & tragic lo-fi trashed weird rock following a tune reeling from the use of sinister vibrating metallic chimes. Overall some top spooked auras pervading many of the tracks. You really get a sense of unnerving calm from some of the off the wall sketches here and a feel that you're really investigating some eclectic, fascinating genepool of collected talent. It's the freshest way to hear new and intriguing sounds is this compilation lark. No fucker' s trying to hoodwink you with their best song either, you just know there's spades of creative energy spilling from these folks. Ltd 2xCD thing in paper and string, all hand stamped with insert & badge & that. Lovely stuff!!!A 2 cd compilation & the first album release on Dust Wind Tales. One cd (Dusty) features instrumental tracks & the other cd (Tales) features vocal tracks. The badge made for the release comes with either white or black lettering.
