We scored some copies of The Gossip / Sissy Spacek split on Helicopter. The Gossip side 'Jason's Basement' catches them live and raw at the Smell in Los Angeles 2008 with a real pounding primal beat backing and delicious vocal delivery. This is The Gossip at their most unhinged and uncompromising. Then you get fucked up hyper edit presumably by John Wiese of loads of strange noise that'll have folks hoping to hear "Standing In The Way Of Contol" making brownies in their pants. Sissy Spacek's side was recorded at the Carlos Giffoni curated 'No Fun Fest' in Broolyn 2008 and has them making an almighty aneurysm inducing noise/grind/ spazz-metal freak out that gives me a nose bleed just thinking about being at the show. A blistering assault of noise terror that I find particularly amusing.
