Shake It Wild by King Salami And The Cumberland Three

5...according to our on Thu 19 Jun, 2008.

My fave single of the week has been by King Salami & The Cumberland Three, some serious sausage wielding garage rock with meaty balls. 'Shake it Wild' is a highly collectable 7" on Soundflat Records of Germany who have also unleashed that cool Billy Childish package this week. I love this music, it's so trashy & alive, the guitar scratching your face off and the old amped up R'n'R groove making you wanna grab a fancied one and sling them round the dancefloor in devilish abandon. The flip is 'She's A Kukamunga' which is up there with The Dirtbombs most absurd, infectious moments, a rip-roaring, feet-burning slice of ear shredding old skool rockabilly that transports you back to more innocent times whilst sounding as sleazy as a perverts vaseline smeared airbed. Includes probably the coolest thing we've ever had as a purchase incentive, a KING SALAMI CHOPPING BOARD! (this explains the hefty price tag, it's a quality collectors dream is this package!)

SOUNDFLAT RECORDS hits the ground running again with a brand new special edition in
series!
The KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND 3 KITCHEN SERIES !!!
KING SALAMI, who makes a show of energy and whose feet never stand still respectively
never stop twisting and shaking, always bothers to prevent to run to "bacon fat". When this
vivid, brought to life salami starts to cry, he does not take second place to well known legends
like e.g. SCREAMING JAY HAWKINS, Bo Diddley and Andre Williams. This man never
ceases from grooving, jumping and jiving, for what the CUMBERLAND THREE crew is
responsible. All 3 CUMBERLAND sausages have already proved their skills and are still
doing this in bands like NIPPLE ERECTORS, CANNIBALS, PAUL COLLINS BEAT, THE
ULCERS, CHINESE LUNGS; and PARKINSONS!
The especially upon Mr. KING SALAMI tuned shaking sound is a self-contained mix of oldfashioned
Rockabilly, Desperate R'N'R, R&B with a lacing of Soul with fire, energy, taste
and fun!
This new R&B Punk sensation from London/England has always made it, that is to say
inspiring their audience and bringing the crowd to dance and shake.
Besides concerts and tours in Europe, KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND THREE
literally made the walls shake on festivals like e.g. FUNTASTIC DRACULA FESTIVAL.
Now a dance nugget for domestic use. After the first by BUTTERFLY RECORDS released
Forty-Five, which already convinced the cultural scene and made every turntable run
endlessly, now the 2nd single of the super eligible and brand hot R&B-band from England is
released by SOUNDFLAT RECORDS and that in a complete kitchen series!!! Each new
release from KING SALAMI & HE CUMBERLAND THREE by SOUNDFLAT RECORDS
comes out with a kitchen utensil.
With SHAKE IT WILD or SHE'S A KUKAMUNGA, KING SALAMI & THE
CUMBERLAND THREE are bringing 2 absolute R&B-Punk monsters on vinyl, which will
achieve crowded dance floors at every (kitchen) party. A must for each R&B, Soul or 60's
Punk fan with mood for partying and humour. Specially for this Fourty-Five JOHN "LARD"
GIBBS (popular because of bands like THE KAISERS, HOLLY GOLIGHTLY, THE
MASONICS, THE WILDEBEESTS & more) committed to shake the maracas continuously.
With this single and thus the opener of the KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND THREE
kitchen series a KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND THREE chopping board for use in
the kitchen is released. On this board you can – while shaking on the sound of the Single in
the background – cut your dried salami on the faces of the members of the band or top your
slice of bread with salami!
However, only 500 households and kitchens can gloat over this fun, because the single is
released in a limited amount of 500 copies.
So occasionally keep an eye out for the 2nd peperoni-hot release with kitchen utensil from
KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND THREE by SOUNDFLAT RECORDS, which
surely won't be a long time coming!
