Ladyhawke is the alterego of New Zealander Pip Brown who was raised in the 80’s with a musical family and grew up listening to the likes of Stevie Nicks, Deep Purple and Joan Jett. Beginning as the drummer in a school band, Pip now plays over ten instruments. She now resides in London where she wrote her forthcoming debut album which is due for release in September.

Paris Is Burning is the debut single for Ladyhawke, following on from the download only Back Of The Van, and it arrives just in time to soundtrack your summer and daydreams of a French getaway on 30th June. Paris Is Burning sounds equally at home in your playlist between Fleetwood Mac and Phoenix as it does between Gainsbourg and Garbage.

Includes exclusive remixes by Alex Gopher, Kid Gloves, Cut Copy and one of Ladyhawke’s biggest fans electro queen Peaches. Having already toured with Soulwax and We are Scientists this year, the summer is packed with upcoming festival appearances including two performances in one day at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Camp Bestival and Bestival
