Oren Ambarchi is a man & he really sounds like he should be a posh restauranteur than a noise manipulating technician. He's one of the latest guests on this new Table of the Elements one sided series (this is titled 'A Kiss on Poisoned Cheeks'), all etched by the esteemed Savage Pencil. If you're into records you can play at any speed then you'll love this baby. It's a symphony of sinister insectoid drone that morphs & shifts through frequencies, sounding not unlike a cello or viola being overrun by cyber dragonflies. Phil says he's reminded of Angus Maclise who was part of the whole late 60's avant scene with all those dark, fascinating outer fringes folks. This really is quite stirring stuff, ominous but moving, constantly battling slowly through a haze of creepy sound before arriving at a shrill crescendo that'll put hairs on your back, never mind prick them up! Oooohh! Another slice of essential sonic wizardry from TotE then!
