Same Actor is an alias of Chris Cook, who also works under the rather entertaining name of Hot Roddy. He's previously had stuff out on Wrong Music and Bip Hop and here he makes his label debut for Disco_r.dance with his 'The End Of The Garden' three incher. Brett has piped up and declared that it sounds like Ravi Shankar falling asleep. not a bad description at all as his take on sitar music is pretty wonky. This of course is a good thing. Think of that 500mg LP on Three Lobed being spun backwards with some subtle electronics in the mix and that's some idea of the sound at play. It's like a load of hedgehogs having a big sitar-off in an opium den. Cool stuff...

Same Actor : The End of the Garden
DSCRD/CD012 Same Actor's Chris Cook has previously released material for Wrong Music under the name Hot Roddy. His first release under the Same Actor moniker was "Sharp Edges" for Bip-Hop in 2005. For his disco_r.dance debut, Same Actor delivers a five track e.p. of sitar and detuned acoustics, fused with moody, atmospheric electronics.
