I think I'm finally starting to get Wild Beasts and anyone who sings about 'The Devils Crayon' gets thumbs up from me. It's completely ludicrous but they have something about them I can't put my finger on. This new single is a bit smart actually...... Decent tune complete with vocals ala The Sparks and The Associates (I do get a bit of Tony Hadley in there as well....). Bizarrely operatic camp vocals over some Vampire Weekend sounding widdly guitars. But what is the devils crayon? Is it slang for his peepee? I'd like to think they're not singing about the devils wang but if they are then good luck to 'em I suppose.The Devil’s Crayon
