Global Goon is a bit of a dark horse. He keeps quit for a while then all of a sudden he comes out with an album and a 10" on WeMe. 'Saint Aime' has some creepy acid tunes with plenty of stuff going onto keep you interested. It's generally a tougher style to what I'm used to from him, kinda like the Syntheme stuff which I reckon is actually him. It's pretty rockin club gear that'll work a sweaty crowd of ravers up into euphoria. Really driving and building acid that'll have you gurning your face off. The 10" 'Chimay' nicely named after the amazing Belgian brew is a bit of a stormer, one side is fierce acid while the flip is a bit slower but proper squelchy. Both are well good.Tracklisting:

Johnny's "Global Goon" new album: "Saint Aime" opens with an hypnotic acid track that takes us to an unknown world of delights which he's the only one who's ever explored. He's giving us the keys to share that journey with him and feel that lovely positive vibe. He then goes to more rythmic tracks, and follow their path is the only way to feel the "Goon Pleasure". Between melancholic nights and bright sparks of clear light, the goal of this record is to use acid as a pen to draw a sky full of shinning stars. Without a doubt, Global Goon never lost that poetic-super-power he had when he was making records on Rephlex...
