Last night I took the Mrs to see Sin City and then we watched the Chris
Cunningham Rubber Johnny DVD. I think she's stopped shaking now which is handy
cos otherwise she wouldn't be able to sign the divorce papers. One uber violent
dark comic book based film noir followed by Chris Cunningham's dark vision of a
mutating freak is enough to cook anyone's mind.. Rubber Johnny is in now, accompanied by a lovely 40 page hardback
book. The book is more disturbing than the film. Lots of photos of arseholes, genitals
and teeth all computer mangled up into nightmarish visions which would make the
the average pathologist puke their rectum out (see page 26...) The film itself
is accompanied by a track from Aphex Twin's Druqs and it is reasonably
disturbing. That much I will say, though it's not as disturbing as the
accompanying pictures. It's still a good way to while away 6 minutes with your
mates and the sickness is courtesy of Warpfilms. Watch after eating and not
during by the way!
