Yet another electronic label that really deserves your attention is Portland's Buried In Time. They did that ace Ignatius CD and a various artists comp and for their third release they have a 10 track compilation of tracks born out of jam sessions from Ignatius and [SiK] then remixed by Portland's electronic underground producers. For 'Acid Offspring' the source material was created on oldskool Roland Gear and then laptops were introduced for some DSP action. There are some cool tracks on here taking in acid, electro, techno, IDM, dub. Some ace rhythms happening and some good old squelchy acid and a nice balance of tougher tracks and some not so heavy ones. Gasp, SciFiSol, Senor Frio, Databrokers, Ignatius, Technicolor Yawn, Lets Go Outside, Dampkrane, Mud and [SiK] show up for remix duty and all turn in quality cuts. If I was a teacher and this CD was their homework book I'd put a special gold star in it and write "well done". A steal at £4.99.

"Acid Offspring", Buried In Time's 4th release, is a project that came out of several jam sessions on vintage Roland gear with label mates
Ignatius and [SiK]. The hours of material were narrowed down to several tracks that will see the light of day sometime. However, there
was a lot of material that was good yet not quite a complete idea. This material was chopped up into a 200MB sample pack that was
shared with 11 producers who all used those samples to come up with a track. The result touches on many genres and moods with in
electronic music.. from hip hop head nodders to 4/4 bangers and psychedelic electro to less accessible dense electronic mangling and
processing. The final tracks yield a surprising cohesiveness and flow that avoids cliches and yet is not endless wankery for its sake.
