Good ole Jack Dangers. The guy's a total schizo. He's got 2 sides to him you know. One of these sides is the dubby kick ass bass throbs which make you hurl yourself towards the nearest dancefloor, the other side is the mellow tape explorations which are more introspective and experimental. This new CD called 'Music For Planetarium' falls into the latter category. Here Jack weaves 10 pieces of sonic tapestry and creates a new space quilt for you to drift off to sleep in. I loved writing that sentence. For this is music that is the soundtrack to the vast emptiness that is space. Weirdly it's music recorded for a planetarium in Budapest (called TIT......) and I don't think I've ever heard anything more spacey sounding. This is the music you hear in your head as you're floating off in space with 30 seconds left of your life. Weird, sleep inducing almost subconscious ambience. Tremendous stuff and packaged in a lovely handmade CD thing from them nice folks at Brainwashed. Class.

What their label says...
Jack Dangers, the Godfather of Dubstep, returns this year with Autoimmune, the tenth album as Meat Beat Manifesto, immediately followed by extensive North American and European touring. Music for Planetarium, the third full-length release as Jack Dangers, drops the same day as Autoimmune, and consists of music recorded, as Jack describes, "under a quilt at night" for the T.I.T. Planetarium in Budapest. The release is the sixth in Brainwashed's Handmade Series and like the others, comes in a letterpress sleeve created by Michael Babcock of Interrobang Letterpress (who is known for his letterpress work for Sonic Youth, Isis, Windy & Carl, and many many others which fetch high prices on eBay). Brainwashed will have 500 copies to sell and provide Jack with plenty to bring on tour. If the fast-selling 7" single from Brainwashed is any indication, these will not last.
