Technology is not working for me today... I'm having one of those days.. Fortunately for Kettel though the machines are on his side for his lush new CD 'Myam James Part 1'. I reckon this dutch producer is seriously under rated. He manages to fit together really uplifting acid lines with slightly melancholy melodies and solid drums . His approach to his composition is really very musical. He definitely knows what he's doing. Comes complete with Phonecia and Secede remixes on Sending Orbs. If you're into this guy's stuff then you know what to expect here. Quality as usual...

What their label says...

After two magnificent Sending Orbs albums (‘Through Friendly Waters’, ‘My Dogan’), and last year’s acclaimed ambient electronic / jazz / classical hybrid ‘Whisper Me Wishes’ on Clone / DUB, Kettel aka Reimer Eising re-emerges with the first part of the ‘Myam James’ series. Kettel manages to squeeze uplifting, warm, cheerful and enjoyable maximal electronic music out of his kettle and pottery factory, which is sad, melancholic and sensitive all at the same time, characteristic of the paradoxical twist in much of his work : beauty lies in the melancholy. Add to this Kettel's profound knowledge of composition and his passionate love of the roots of the early 90s Warp sound, and we guarantee you'll be chained to your speakers for the next months. ‘Myam James Part 1’ is nine tracks of Kettel ecstasy, including a brilliant remix of ‘My Dogan’s title track by early influencers Phoenecia (Schematic/Warp), and seven minutes of Vangelis-style remix synthesizer-madness by Secede.
