· The Charlatans formed in 1989 and first tasted chart success with their second single The Only One I Know, which hit the Top 10 the following year. They have since gone on to establish themselves as a major force in the British music scene, enjoying nine Top 10 albums (including three number ones) and twenty two Top 40 singles to date including 2006’s Blackened Blue Eyes.
