Lordy Guillemots are back with a brand new single called 'Get Over It'. Whenever I think of this band I always remember the sign Clinton drew for us in the office which said 'Kill The Guillemots'. Well Clinton, sure it's time to get over it? Maybe you will with their new single? Probably not though.... They're less insipid than I remember them sounding and the singer sounds a bit like James Dean Bradfield at times. The vocals are too enthusiastic for me....they sounds like they're really going for it... I can imagine them punching their fists in the studio believing every word they're singing. I could be all cynical here but at least their enjoying themselves and surely that is the point of our dismal lives. So to summarise.... somewhere in between the Manics and Deacon Blue. Great....
