And onto Wixel who release a lovely thing called 'Heart'. Am sat here with my 13 month year old daughter and she's going nuts for it.... yelping and legs everywhere. This comes from the nice folks who run the Slaapwel label in Belgium. Firstly the packaging is well lush. Nice little cadboard foldy out thing with a cool sleeve and a poster inside to drape all over your miserable dank looking walls. Here we have some electronics and some acoustic ness all meled together to make a fantastic pot of melody... This is what I would term a right 'Norman Record' as it's just the kind of thing we like and do rather well with here.... Think earlier Sigur Ros with some nice plinky electronics. There's some really delicate bits..other parts build up into some wall of sound type walls of fuzz It's all instrumental and it's a lovely thing from start to end. For fans of Car Park records, Sigur Ros, the Moteer label and other such lushness. Cheap 'n all. You'll like this one.

What their label says...

8 tracks of melancholic acoustic guitars and warm electronics - a very personal and introspective record that might remind you of bands like the notwist, the remote viewer, xela, album leaf, de portables, the cd comes in a carton box with a beautiful poster!
this cd is released by debonair, a nice label from knokke! may 2006
