A Genuine Freakshow; 'We Are Undercurrents' (Dead Pilot) Do a highly symphonic sounding take on bombastic melodic rock with vocals that tend towards the falsetto and emotional-or should that read emotionally falsetto. It's oh-so clever in its use of quiet-loud-quiet dynamics with guitars and strings to fore along with the insistant stacatto drums that come to a sudden stop to emphasise the overwrought, dooming sounding theatrics. Big, pompous stadium bound post-rock. If you like Leeds faves Vessels.

What their label says...
New single by UK post-pop/post-rock outfit.
Violin swells, thumping drums, thrashing guitars and immense vocals; one to
appeal to fans of great voices such as Jeff Buckley and Elliott Smith as well
as experimental fans. A Genuine Freakshow form part of a growing trend of UK
acts combining post-rock with popier, vocal driven sounds. The title track is
as catchy as it is epic.
