Ant here wondering where on earth Los Campesinos get their energy from. They sound like they've been necking kegs of Red Bull. Its all jolly uplifting playful energetic bouncy ecstatic indie pop that reminds me of The Go Team. Mingus is bigging this up. The energy is clearly rubbing off on him. What's happening... Everyone is smiling and that... shudder. It's all polished and sparkling production, boy girl vocals, melodic guitars. I just clocked the top lyric "Drawing tiny pictures of skeletons to get over the impending doom". Comparisons to Huggy Bear and Bearsuit are being spat at me. Both names with Bear in them like. 'Hold On Youngster' is twee indie pop with an edge.

2007 has, without doubt, been a hugely eventful year for Cardiff’s Los Campesinos! A right-of-passage, roller coaster, massively exciting kind of year, that’s seen them make an impressive dent globally, experience an avalanche of ‘firsts’, and subsequently proved their mettle as a pop collective of huge potential in 2008. And all before they’ve even released their debut album.
