Let's Wrestle are a great proposition. Old skool indie shades abound on this fine 6 track EP 'In Loving Memory of....' that really impress. The 2nd track comes across like a maudilin Pete Shelley intoning over an abrasive Strokes like backing. A load of Good Shoes 'brogue' in there too without doubt. Just shambling sandpaper fuzz guitars, snaky jaunty bass, motorik drums & wonky, casual vocals. a very pure & classic indie sound. Track 4 even reminds me of early Electrelane with a gangly lad on vocals sipping a pint of stout. Track 5, Music is my Girlfriend has me hankering for Beatnik Filmstars & Pavement. Completely endearing, fun & catchy as SARS, Let's Wrestle i'd rather hug silly instead. So an amalgam of loads of great bands but with their own minimal & compulsive identity. Ace-tastic! Stolen records provide the joy.
