Will Oldham reappears with a mysterious new record release ‘Ask Forgiveness’ is a collection of cover versions as performed by Will Oldham.Eight songs featuring songs by Bjork, Merle Haggard, The Mekons and R Kelly, sometimes combining different songs together, such as on the Danzig / Roky Erikson combo ‘Am I Demon’. The record was recorded with Meg Baird and Greg Weeks from the band Espers in Philadelphia.As with all Bonnie releases, this will prove popular amongst his rabid fanbase, as well as being so beautifully played and recorded that it will easily open itself out to the more casual listener.
