Peonies: 'The Echo Of Trodden On Twig' (Blackest Rainbow), is a limited edition CDR (120) of three extended pieces of tranced out, droning psychedelic free-form Folk. Fans of Voice of the Seven Woods, Jackie-O-Motherfucker will tap into the haunting inflections, dirge like tones, spacious atmospherics and dark oscillations. Somewhat disappointing artwork to accompany such a encouragingly expansive sound-world, that said, I'm sure fans of this current wave of 'free' music will lap this up.

What their label says...
Follow up to Peonies release on the awesome Time-Lag Records... Deep psychedelic folk drone rock emerging deep from Southern England. Layering tranced psychedlic doom tapping, hazy drones, and melancholy soaked sparse vocal humming. Perhaps if you're into Jackie-O you'll like this. Probably one of my favourite acts in the UK right now, about time these guys got some exposure! Limited to 120 handnumbered copies in full colour mountainous sleeve with blue triangles featuring possibly my worst handwriting yet.
