They Came From The Stars I Saw Them are pretty crazy. On the surface their music is happy pop music but they just have loads of crazy noises coming in and out. It's like a circus in outerspace with horses flying around playing trumpets. Its an astro-glam jazz cabaret on hallucinogens. 'Vs Reality' is crazy. I cant possibly think of a comparison. CD & LP on Onomatopoeia.

What their label says...

This is The Stars “lost” album - a record with a somewhat checkered history. Recorded on the first 2 days of spring 2002, and then found to be in an impossible format, converted, confused, lost, found, forgotten, sampled, resampled, pieced together, tampered with, undone, overdubbed, redone, left on the bottom shelf of a cool oven, mashed with rare spices, buried, unearthed, sent out, forgotten again, and finally discovered by Onomatopoeia records to be served up to y’all on CD and vinyl. After 5 years it was still being finished on the way to the mastering suite?!?! One of the highlights of my year, without a doubt...the greatest band name ever. Visionaries follow their muse regardless of the world around them and that couldn't be more true of they came from the stars i saw them...Numbering as many as 30 in the past, they've now trimmed down to a more manageable four-piece, but their music is still as astonishingly catchy as ever, somehow combining krautrock, space rock, free jazz, soul and funk into a pure pop concoction  with brilliant titles and wonderful, hypnotic singalong tunes....ahead of their time..
