Slow Loris have a special place in our hearts here at the towers. It's the time, effort, energy passion and love they put into each release that melts our hearts. If you're familiar with the label then a group of young whippersnappers you may be aware of are Elsworth Cambs the trio of Greg O'Brien, Phil Clarke and Stephen Banville. 'Dillusions of Grandeur' is a free wheeling 5 track 3" CD EP of lo-fi / alt country inspired miserablism that reminds me at times of Palace era Will Oldham. Lovingly hand packaged as ever.

What their label says...
Elsworth Cambs has a new 3” cd out on Slow Loris. Its called "allusions of grandeur" and was recorded in the orchard on the 7th and 8th of July; all live and straight down with some mistakes!
It was recorded with a different band than usual. For this one, Stephen was joined by Greg O’Brien (the hollows, the terribles) and Phil Clarke (the truro syndicate, principles of shotgun cloning). It’s 5 songs and just under 20minutes in length. “allusions of grandeur” is definitely a more live, roomier, looser and more joyus affair than the lovely “leaf or tree”, Elsworth’s previous release. From Stephen himself: “it was good just to hang out and play together over the weekend... it was really great and fun to make so I hope everyone will get as much joy out of it as we put in!!”
Tracks: birth song like drifting death could i even mistakes were made
Greg sings and wrote the last song.
As with all Slow Loris releases, the cover for this one is handcrafted; it’s made up of a folded card outer sleeve, which has been individually decorated by Stephen and friends. The inner sleeve is a foldout A3 insert designed by Katy Judge.
