The Loyal Trooper... That's me that is. No it's not, its actually a man called Andy Walker. I am loyal though, I'm like a dog. (Down boy, no barking or phil'll have you in a pie!, Mingus x) 4 tracks of polished chirpy indie comprise '4 Quid With Flyer EP' there's lots of "La La La's" going on. He says he's a simple bloke who drinks pints not halves. I wish him all the best with his musical endevours, he sounds like a nice guy and you can tell he's having fun. CD only on Fake DIY Records.

What their label says...

‘4 Quid With Flyer’ is the debut EP release from The Loyal Trooper (known as Andy Walker to his friends, family and postman), released on CD and digital download through This Is Fake DIY Records on 6th August 2007.

The tracks, written in the summer of 2006 during constant touring up and down the country, were co-produced by Andy himself alongside Dave Clarke (Larrikin Love/Ladyfuzz/The Prodigy). ‘I’m Not In Love’ highlights the distain of listening to the same bands singing the same old songs on the radio 24/7, while ‘Nothing To Say’ is a jovial attack on London banking culture and precedes live favourite ‘Dear Diary’. The EP concludes with ‘That One About The Mistletoe’, a bittersweet tale of a lost love, sharply worded and providing the perfect close to his debut.

Since The Loyal Trooper’s conception a year ago, the one time one-man-and-a-guitar live shows have evolved into dynamic full band extravaganza that has seen Andy and co support the likes of The Wombats, Assembly Now and Keith in the last six months.
