...according to our Maggie on 09 August 2007.
“A group teetering on the precipice of greatness... Imagine cLOUDDEAD jamming with Wilco, with David Lynch producing and you're only halfway there" - The Wire.Fog have spent the last two years touring as a three piece rock combo, opening for Deerhoof, The Notwist and Low and taking time out to record songs for 2007’s ‘Ditherer’ with Low’s engineer Tom Herbers. From their beginnings in minimal vocal electronica Fog have mutated into one of the most innovative of the new wave of American alternative rock bands. Recent collaborations include Dntel, Low, The Notwist and TV On The Radio.‘Ditherer’ is eleven songs of hard edged leftfield rock and roll featuring collaborations with Alan and Mimi from Low, Mount Eerie, Andrew Bird and Why? The bands limited EP and singles released in ’06 and ’07 have sold out on the initial ship out and their following is steadily growing. With early indications of very strong critical acclaim, expect ‘Ditherer’ to be Fog’s breakthrough record.
