What their label says...
Sweden's Skull Defekts deliver a hypnotically rhythmic style of noise rock on their 2007 release, BLOOD SPIRITS AND DRUMS ARE SINGING. Though the songs are rooted in rock riffage, there is a pronounced experimental streak running throughout: Skull Defekts compositions work up to a complex, layered, percussive fever pitch, dotted with clanging electronic loops, shards of guitar noise, and spare vocal lines. At its best, it's a sound that recalls the sublimely repetitive noise of Krautrock heroes Faust and Can. Features Henrik Rylander (Union Carbide Productions), & Joachim Nordwall (Kid Commando)
