Hello there. I'm still here and there about somewhere or other. Here's a new single by The Reverse. It's their 2nd single and it's a CD only release.... But it is a lovely sleeve with it's apple themed cover, inlay and disc etc.. Makes me want to eat the apple I've got for lunch looking at me here. In fact I've just put the apple on the sleeve to make it more of a 3D collage (honest). That's fucking great. Seriously..... Guys you should have given away a free apple with the CD. Anyway it's nice singer songwritery sensitive indie gear from an ex Sarandon chap. All very proper and sensitive. Like old fashioned proper indie music before it went all shit. Shutterspeed is it's name....

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

What their label says...

“Shutterspeed” is the second in a trio of 4-track EPs by The Reverse planned for release on Run Out Records. It picks up where last year’s “A Clean Incision” left off and is released in July.

The track listing is:

1.    Shutterspeed
2.    Some things I never said to you but thought of afterwards
3.    Tremble
4.    On fire

The EP was recorded and mixed by Graham Dominy (The Rifles, Razorlight, Supergrass).

The history of The Reverse begins with Nathan and Jason in around 2002, growing out of pub conversations, late night recording sessions and the cold rehearsal rooms of Crouch End.

Sam began engineering for the band, though his involvement soon progressed, eventually taking on permanent guitar duties.

Joe ran Speeder fanzine and although he never wrote about the band when they sent him a rough demo, his enthusiasm for it led to him picking up the bass guitar and joining the band permanently.

The Reverse spent the next few years playing gigs around the country at venues including The Cavern, The Barfly, Water Rats and The Garage, and writing and developing their own sound, each member bringing varied ideas and tastes to the mix. A passion for the lyrical depth of artists such as Dylan, Bright Eyes and Morrissey is as evident in their songwriting as is a love for the dynamic and atmospheric approach of bands like Mogwai, Stone Roses and Spiritualized.
