Finally on Time Lag is a CD by Peonies called Into Forms which is some pretty far out there experimental psych fun which varies from some rocking out weird shit to more folky sounding meanderings down lanes o pretty. Lots of nice plucking going on here left right and centre. I love the word plucking.

first (sort of) proper release from this amazing & fairly mysterious uk unit after two great and totally under the radar private press cdrs. some of the best stuff of its kind we've laid ears on this side of the 2000s. layers of highly electrified sparse electric guitar strums and plucks, beautiful & deeply zoned female vocals, spatters of percussion, looming bass rumble, tingly electronic effects, and cosmic drones all floating in stranded submarine reverb. the sound & spirit both instantly bring to mind the more meditative side of prime mid 90s new zealand action ala alastair galbaith's 'morse', slow motion dadamah, maybe even a more hi-fi garbage and the flowers, yet without really sounding much like anything else… packaged in a tri-fold black art paper cover with beautiful full color paste-on art by belgium's sloow bart, paste-on interior, stamping, all black disc, etc. first handful of copies have extra thick brown paper variation. numbered edition of 100 copies.
