ROOOOOCCCCCKKKK!!!! Sisters Of Mercy on a rock opera. Here we have THE BUTTERFLY THE DUKE. erm.. yeh theatrical metal. Pretty funny indeed..

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

What their label says...

"Impressive mash up of Cramps malevolence and White Zombie?s
electro-groove-ilicious metal?" www.subba-cultcha.com

"The Butterfly is certainly not the right name for this breakthrough
act. Their debut is an edgy bass infused guitar and drum hard-hitter.
Its rocking sound and uncharted vocal gives the feel of a Talking
Heads like style with a bit of System of a Down thrown in for good
measure.

They?ve been tearing up the north in recent years gathering an
eclectic interest in their hard ? rocking and guitar riff driven
music. These are definitely a band to check out this year if you?re
into your rock and metal. This debut punches into your ears with a
funky and dramatic entrance with an exit similar but with any luck
this won?t be the last you hear of this surprising and energetic
band." Josh Hollands - frinkmusic.com

"I love butterflies, I really do. I mean, what beautiful things they
are, and what power they have. You can sit watching a Red Admiral
strutting about on a lettuce leaf for hours, but one flap of their
wings and a monsoon could take out China. The band, The Butterfly - in
one of those fantastic Trash Hits links that we know you all love -
are also deceptively powerful.

Sounding like Joy Division gone Electroclash, 'The Duke' is a stunning
little number, which grabs you from the off and refuses to loosen it's
grip until you dance like the devil himself. We haven't heard such a
brilliantly choreographed dark rock/dance track since Red Organ
Serpent Sound released 'In Search Of Orgasmuz' - and you all remember
how good that was, don't you? Let's just hope The Butterfly don't turn
back into a caterpillar anytime soon. 8/10 FURIOUS" www.trash-hits.com
