Re-Issue in slimline jewel case. Merzbow is the most prolific creator of experimental music alive. His enormous discography is only rivalled in size by that of Sun Ra and Muslimgauze. This makes understanding his body of work very difficult and intimidating to approach. “Metamorphism” is a powerfully emotional, violently painful, and strangely ambient work…ungodly deep and loud pulses, around which is wrapped all sorts of whistling and buzzing..there are also abstract guitar strumming throughout chaotic sheets of static and ear-splitting metallic scrapes overwhelming the carefully constructed rhythm.
