Shifty Disco have always been the undog champs of the UK indie scene. A great name supporting some of Oxford & beyond's finest guitar led pop. They have a career spanning 3 CD comp out, a 10th anniversary round up of highlights ranging from disc 1's 10 picks from the current roster, humble ,anthemic & tuneful music from around the globe, trancending obscurity with soul & quiet trend surfing eloquence. Disc 2 is a track each from the 10 most sucessful & popular artists, The Young Knives, Elf Power, Beulah & The Unbelievable Truth amongst others. Disc 3 is their fave picks from the flickering flames who may have graced a singles club release then sunk without a trace, a veritable whos who of who the hell? So the number is ten, and that's what this handy portfolio of proper quality music from the vaults will cost you. If you'd rather spoon yr eyes out than hear the dreadful abonimation that is The View then you should enjoy the eclectic sonic barrage of hope that spills from these DIY discs. Marvelous!
