After last years astounding '57 Octaves Below' EP, Brighton's Air Formation are back with their third album. Drawing from the likes of 80s shoegazers My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, Air Formation sit comfortably alongside the current crop of Sigur Ros, Long- View, Mew et al. Recorded over the summer with producer Pat Collier, and mastered by Shimmydisc/Bongwater maestro Kramer, 'Daylight Storms' is their most accomplished work to date. Think Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, the sound of jet engines - Air Formation can go from breathy escapism to futuristic terrorcaust in a matter of minutes whilst still encapsulating the listener. Live shows are rare but stunning, recent supports have included Mark Gardner, Ulrich Schnauss and Rachel Goswell.
