That lush DEATHPROD box set is back in for a limited time only. It's a 4 CD box including 4 CD's called Reference Frequencies, Treetop Drive, Imginary Songs From Tristan Da Cunha and lastly.... Morals And Dogma.... 4 CD's...4.... 4!!. If that isn't enough there's a really interesting 32 page booklet explaining an awful lot about each release and the ideas behind them. I had a Deathprod afternoon a home a few months back and listened to all 4 albums in a row. 3 of them I loved and one of them I didn't. I can't remember which I didn't like? Anyway this is bleaker than bleak experimental soundscapes and textures which amble along in a slight disturbed fashion. It's no all dark mind you.... and it's certainly not as scary as the name lead you to suggest. Dark experimental ambience which makes a bizarrely compelling and fascinating listen (enough to want to listen to all 4 discs in a row). Recommended if you're up for the challenge

What their label says...

Deathprod, or Helge Sten as his name is, has been an important player since the beginning of Rune Grammofon. As a member of Supersilent he was part of the very first release in January 1998, Supersilent 1-3 (RCD 2001), and later the the same year he and Biosphere remixed Arne Nordheim´s electronic works on the album Nordheim Transformed (RCD 2005), one of our best selling releases. Since then there´s been more Supersilent releases as well as vital production and engineering contributions to Sakuteik (RCD 2021), Veggie (RCD 2027) and lately List Of Lights And Buoys (RCD 2034).
