Reissue of the 2006 debut release from critically acclaimed Los Angeles beatmaker Flying Lotus. CD in the house this here minute now, and way overdue LP repress ready at the end of the month. Back in the days before words like “wonky” or “aquacrunk” weren’t used to describe musical impulses, FlyLo revealed his beats with a cinematic flare “like little short films that play in my head”. Keyboards wobble and wiggle with mutated funk, skewed rhythms grind underneath, warped samples play hide-and-seek with the beat… that “next level shit” other artists are always talking about?
