The debut CD from The Workhouse is here at last. I think this is a corking record. Its this years Explosions in the Sky. It takes your Mogwai (with a hint of Cocteau Twins) blueprint that many a post-rock outfit uses but instead of retreading the same old paths, it concocts something pretty special that's head and shoulders above the other bands of this ilk. I guess its just good tunes and dynamics. I tell you what, it shits all over the new Explosions in the Sky record. Might also appeal to the odd Interpol fan. On Bearos. Oh yeah we still have copies of the Jonathon Whiskey Workhouse/Fotomoto 7" which has a Workhouse track that's NOT ON THE ALBUM. See? We're shameless. The End of The Pier is CD only
