What an extremely charming cd called
'Fuzzy Felt Folk' release on the ever weird and
wonderful Trunk
label. We should have had this in last week but due to a cock-up at the
distro we got it late. Sorry guys but circumstances beyond our control.
Anyhow now that it's here you can expect a real treat. It's a
collection of rare folk oddities that are basically old traditional
children's songs which are so sweet and magical you just want to cuddle
them. However there is a strange psychedelic element to them. Imagine
dropping acid at a teddy bears picnic and tripping out in some mystical
forest where the animals talk. This will appeal to those of you that
are digging the current folk revival, old acid fried hippies and
possibly those of you who have kids. I'm gonna snaffle one of these to
play to my little boy and have a right old tree hugger sing-along. How
can you possibly go wrong with heart-warming songs about cuckoos,
elves, trolls, spiders and teddy bears. Features Basil Kirchin (who you may remember previously had a release on the label),
The Barbara Moore Singers, Orriel Smith, Christopher Casson, The Piggleswick Folk and more.
