If you're into Sun City Girls then you may be familiar with one of the members
Sir Richard Bishop. Latitudes have releases a solo guitar album, rather amusingly titled Fingering The Devil. This was recorded at
Southern Studios in London (as with all the Latitudes
series) and is basically one man and his guitar. This
is very acomplished indeed, yet he never wonders off into noodle
territory.
There's a spanish/ gypsy/ flamenco feel running throughout. This is
really very good and a perfect summer soundtrack. Beware however as the
artwork contains a picture of a hand with a nail through it, I totally
was not expecting to see that this morning and it nearly made me boak
my rice crispies all over the computer. Also in by
Sir Richard Bishop is a 7" which is the first installment of the No-Fi Archive series and is a recording of him doing
Sun City Girls tracks at Morden Tower in Newcastle.
