The long awaited 'Chosen Lords' CD on Rephlex has just arrived. That's the AFX (Aphex Twin) Analord compilation for those of you have been on another planet for the last year or so. I have to say I was sceptical of this at first as there are only 10 tracks selected from a possible 40 something. I'm pleasantly surprised however as the selection is really good. Rephlex have included the more accessible tracks from the series and it seems to work well as an album. All the tracks have trademark warm Aphex melodies with some great squelchy acid and fat analogue sounds. I'd recommend this even if you do have the vinyl cos if your lazy like me it means you dont have to get up every five minutes to flip the record over.
