Probably the only band I really like out of glut of jerky
new wave popsters is Sunderland's Field Music. Thank goodness then
they have a new single out then. 'If only the Moon is Up' is taken from their
pretty darn good debut record and again, I really can't stress how much this
band sound like 10CC circa 'Sheet Music'. There's also a bit of Roxy Music
in this new single but generally look left from Maximo Park. Jerky and
quirky. Like their previous singles, the B sides are absolutely fabulous
and make you wonder why they weren't on the album. On 7" and CD. (the
7" has a track that is not on the CDs).
