First up we have a delightful new album in by Epic 45. The first song here is tremendous. The best thing I've heard them do. Weighs in like Disco Inferno or 'Silent 88' era Hood. The rest of the album floats along nicely & brings to mind Bark Psychosis, Slowdive, Mogwai, Cocteau Twins and The Workhouse. They've added vocals to several tracks which I think is a good move but there's still a lot of instrumental stuff as well on Where Are My records.

Love this record? Hate it? Tell us.

What their label says...

Epic 45 are young boys and still they’ve improved a lot on their mesmerizing debut. Since 1999, they’ve collaborated with the best independent labels you might find in England and Europe, delivering music that could have stretched it to a whole album, and of course, Reckless Engineers says it all… This time around, you’ll also find them singing on two tracks which makes it all sound perfect. Let’s say it: it’s probably the best melancholic stuff that has been written these last five years!

01. Do Nothing Until You Hear From Me
02. A Song For Seasons
03. August Passed Away Unnoticed
04. Low Tide
05. Remote Canals
06. Like A Crowbar, Humour Separated Us
07. For Painters Of Scenery
08. A Forlorn Reminder Of Better Days
09. Estuary
10. Shorebound
