There's a new album out this week by Aidan Smith. Its a very nice collection
of homespun acoustic based pop songs. The over-riding impression is of early
Badly Drawn Boy (before he went up his own arse) the mood is much lighter and
playful (and even a bit novelty in places) with lots of parping horns and Beach
Boys style piano. Its very whimsical and its the kind of stuff that could only
have been produced by an Englishman.
