Deus were a band I used to be very obsessed about indeed. Their first
album, early singles and songs like Little Arithmetics were so blindingly good I
had to have spare underwear on hand. I kind of lost interest after the last
album sucked so I didn't even hear the new album thinking it wouldn't be any
better. On playing the new single (7 days 7 Weeks) though I may well have
to check it out cos it's a stunningly catchy tune with hooks that should be made
illegal. It's a gentle paced tune along the lines of Little Arithmetics and if
there was any justice in the world maybe they'll finally get some success I
reckon they've deserved for ages now....Brilliant....
