Christ. I really have problems with Belgian stadium indietechnorock titans Soulwax. I feel they're supremely talented but also cross that line where
combining future technology & samples & those
compressed cheesy sounds that only seem to be acceptable in mainland Europe. After
giving Clinton eye strain yesterday, 'Nite Versions' lands in my pile with It's
garish retina screwing pink sleeve. This is the vinyl double pack containing all
the euro-rave versions of trax from the last album. There's a mix CD-a-coming
which cashes in on their massively successful 2 Many DJ's mixes by combining
some of these re-jigs & other popular floor fillers from recent times. I'd
dance to this music if I was in a sweaty club in Brussels drinking Pimms.
