Constantly releasing quality singles one after another are The Rakes. Now minted to V2, the guys have 'Capture /Release' up for grabs as their debut album. A 12 track collection of wiry (if a little derivative) new wave, skinny-tie pogo pop, quirky Difford/Tilbrook inspired lyrics, post punk bounce & infectious modern indie anthems about erm....real life 'n' that. Barry is distraught that '22 Grand Job' now has a bit of fidelity to it now & doesn't sound like it was recorded in a sweaty kebab house crapper.
