After a brief hiatus Awkward Silence Records is back albeit in a smaller more digital
form. They have ditched the in vogue 7" format for the more compact and
bijou 3" CD, but the sleeves are identical so they look like they've been
shrunk in my washing machine (you should see my formerly white large pants...
now tiny and pink..). The first one is by Nautilis and Uga. Nautilus
swings in with 2 tracks with the 1st sounding just like Autechre/ Gescom.
Harsh and abrasive yet machine like and metronomical. The 2nd track is a much
more laid back affair but my cash is on the killer lead track. Uga is
apparently a mate of said Nautilis chappie and here we have one track of
spaazzed out electronica! OK but not as good as the lead Nautilis track.
