Harmonic 33 are a new act to Warp and it features Mark
Pritchard who was the chap from Reload/ Global Communication. Thy
have a CD/LP out called Music For Film, Television & Radio Volume One. Which
pretty much covers all bases and makes me believe there will be more volumes.
Now this I like a lot. Lovely instrumental cinematic John Barry-esque
pieces which make perfect sense. A first I thought this was gonna be horrible
cheese but with Broadcast being on the same label and this not really
being a million miles away my initial worries have been cast aside and replaced
with utter joy. Great sex music if you're on a skiing holiday in a hut lost in
the alps surrounded by mountain yak BUT the mountain yak are subdued by the
lovely tunes and consequently start dancing, which helps the mood somewhat to a
point of sheer ecstasy. (far too long a sentence I know..) We'll all sleep well
tonight....
