The White Stripes then. Hugely gifted man is old Jack. Supremely fond of Led Zeppelin too if new LP is owt to go by. Us 3 are enjoying this 5th outing much more than 'Hefelump' which was a bit of a dozy plodding over-rated squib. Generally the songs on here are more varied, soulful & concise & distinctly more progressive. Latter period Beatles & Love have been bandied around the office. Never a band that have hugely excited me personally, relying on hoary old classics as a template rather than embracing anything moderately contemporary but I dig quite a number of songs on 'Get Behind Me Satan' (sic) & feel It's pulling power & considerable depth. Robert Plant is owed a drink or two I believe.
