Brighton belles Electrelane return with their 3rd album, 'Axes', a
return to the mantra-like krautrock soundscapes of old. Like a female Quickspace,
it opens with the kind of effortless metronomic genius that Stereolab
used to piss in their sleep albeit with some of the loveliest piano you could
imagine. Then it like, rocks out, dude. And then some.....Since no-one actually
lives in krautland anymore, the four Sussex brides of Can have slinkied
back to the 'Faust & Frogleg' public house & barricaded themselves in
before the return of the zombies. Can you tell I've watched 'Shaun Of the Dead'
