Bloc Party have re released Banquet cos not many people heard it
originally and now they're a top 5 smash hits art pop band. It makes clear
and obvious sense to unleash it on a whole barrel of fans who have more sense to
wait for a reissue than shell out 30 quid for an original on ebay. This is a
good tune indeed and the more I hear Bloc Party the more I think of The
Police. Am not talking about the fuzzy friendly people in blue but the
popular beat combo of the late 70's and early 80's fronted by new age hero and
voice of the people Sting (or Stink as I like to call him rather
childishly...). I've gone somewhat rambly but this does sound like The Police.
It's on 3 formats and you need all 3 to get all the tracks but there's some
stupid deal where you buy all 3 formats for a fiver and save yourself a quid. So
you'll have enough to get some Ready Brek after all.
