Also in this week is the new Hood single (Home Is Where It Hurts) which is just marvellous.
Am not just saying that cos I know 'em but it's is dead good. They seem
to be getting better and it's just really lovely. One of those bands that
are hard to categorise and seem to be getting better with old age so I
won't try but just trust me on it. It's not as lo fi as previous releases
and the tunes are tops. The 7" is a 2 tracker for much cheapness
or there's a 5 track CD which clocks in at around half an hour ish. We've
also got some posters to give away with it so if you want one let me know.
And also one of Hood will be here on Monday for a bit so if you
want your copies signed by one of 'em then just ask. Will probably have
a few spare signed ones later on in the week for you late orderers!! (These are gone now.....)

What their label says...
Hood return naturally without hype, always; all determined human endeavour, skillfully articulating an existence on the outskirts of Leeds which is just as evocative as Underworld's London or Belle and Sebastian's Glasgow. The sounds seem crisper, maybe a little more focussed than before; The World Touches Too Hard seems especially poignant, but this is a beautiful rounded mini-album you really need to check out.
