Some of you older readers may be remember the name Erik Levander as he released a track on the terribly sadly defunct Whiskey 7" series along with that Bauri dude. It was the Swedish concept 7" you see. That aside we have a new CD in by the Levander chappie on Neon records of Sweden in a cutesy edition of just 500. It comes in a lovely printed case as the artwork ( I greatly approve) and musically it's full of fizzles and warm tones. Some crunchyness and crackles....  avant garde melodic electronica. Rather pleasing I thought.

What their label says...

An ordinary computer is transformed into a digital transmigration of soul. Dense, detailed, progressive webs of struggling sine waves, digital jars and brittle stuttering chords. Brought to life. Breathing and talking.

Erik Levander has an approach to harmonies and melodies, that along with the underlying melancholy, creates a general impression, wich might bring thoughts to the shoegazing pop era. This 24 year old Swede suggests emotion as the spine of binary codes.
